Cookie Policy
Last updated: 12 June 2026
This policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, and how you can control them, in line with UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site function and can provide information to the site owner.
How we use cookies
Strictly necessary cookies
These are required for the website to work - for example, remembering your cookie choice and keeping your progress in the Compliance Wizard. They do not require consent and cannot be switched off.
Analytics cookies (optional)
With your consent, we use analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. These are only set if you select "Accept all" in our cookie banner. If you select "Reject non-essential", they are not used.
Your choice
When you first visit, our cookie banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies with equal prominence - there are no pre-ticked boxes and no dark patterns. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
Managing cookies in your browser
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including deleting existing cookies and blocking future ones. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works.
Local storage
Our interactive tools (the Compliance Wizard and Certificate Tracker) use your browser's local storage to remember your inputs on your device only. This information is not transmitted to us unless you submit a form.
