Fire Risk Assessment · FRA
The mandatory fire safety assessment for HMOs and commercial premises.
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 requires the "Responsible Person" for most non-domestic premises, HMOs and the common parts of blocks of flats to carry out and regularly review a Fire Risk Assessment.
The Fire Safety Act 2021 clarified that the assessment must also consider a building’s structure, external walls and flat entrance doors - widening the duty for multi-occupied residential buildings.
HomeCert’s IFSM-affiliated assessors produce a clear, prioritised Fire Risk Assessment with an action plan you can act on - and, where electrical or alarm works are flagged, complete them in-house.
